Campaign of calumny against Egbe-Idimu Apc.....

*CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY AGAINST EGBE-IDIMU APC WILL NOT WORK!*

The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Egbe-Idimu LCDA has been drawn to video circulating on social media purportedly showing some individuals who claimed to be elders of the party being locked out of a leadership meeting at the residence of the State Vice Chairman, Lagos West Senatorial District, Hon. (Chief) Babatunde Aboyade.

For the records, the APC is a party that operates with strict adherence to party rules and regulations. Thus, the party has a laid down structure of selecting leaders in each LGA.

In relation to the meeting in question and for the benefit of those care to know, letters were sent out to leaders who have been approved by the party at the state level. Unfortunately, some individuals who are not part of those recognized as leaders of the party in the LGA came to the venue and tried to force their way in.

Also, some recognized leaders who got official invitation attempted to smuggle their associates, caucus members and cronies into the venue, these attempts were vehemently rejected.

As the 2027 election draws nearer, it is common knowledge that the opposition is working assiduously to use any means necessary to dislodge our dear party and we will not be cowed by their actions.

Therefore, the party is taking all necessary precautions to ensure that only loyal party members are allowed to participate in decision making exercises for the party. Careful investigations have unraveled that some so-called party leaders in Egbe-Idimu and by extension, Alimosho are working with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political parties thereby operating as moles in APC.

The APC remains a strong force and party to beat in Egbe-Idimu LCDA and Alimosho Federal Constituency and no amount of gimmicks by the opposition and their cohorts will change this fact.

We appreciate leaders and other well meaning members of the party who have reached out for clarifications just as we appeal to party faithful to always try to get information from official sources of the party and disregard frivolous social media posts.

The APC in Egbe-Idimu LCDA remains a one and indivisible entity that will only work for the general interest of the party and would not give room for caucuses.
