Dr Mrs Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor was born and raised in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria. Her parents are Late Prince R.H Osaroguwa Ogboro and Mrs R. Aghaku Ogboro. With a heritage that spans four local government areas (LGAs): Esan Central(Ekekhen), Esan South-East (Ubiaja), Uhunmwode (Igue Iyase and Ugoneki) and Oredo (Ogbe) LGAs of Edo State, there is no doubt Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor is Edo State all round despite her geographical, academic and professional fluidity. An examplary "glocal" icon.
Sometimes referred to as Dr LOOO, she is happily married to Dr Douglas Emeka Okor who is one of Nigeria's foremost Neurosurgeons and poster child for "brain gain" in the country's healthcare sector. They are blessed with lovely children.
Dr Mrs Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor is very open about her faith in God and her core Christian values despite her being all embracing. Something she epitomises with her
mantra which is that "Our shared humanity is the true religion".
